For use in all situations to give fast and active response to chemical and oil spills, flloods and firewater remotely without humans having to enter the spill or fire area and will also operate 24/7 when the site is un-manned to fully satisfy the recommendations under PPG11, PPG18, PPG21, the new Environmental Liability Directive 2004/35/EC and ISO14001.

The pre-installed nature of the system also permits operations to continue even when the ground is covered in snow and ice that would normally increase the risk of spills and at the same time prevent the effective use of drain mats and above ground spill kits.

A heavy duty – pre-installed pneumatic bladder system for automatically blocking / stopping multiple drains actuated by local sensors/ transducers or manually. As with the standard Drainstopper™ it is driven by low pressure compressed air. It can be installed in almost any location including hazardous areas. There are no compressed air cylinders permitting the use of system in areas where heat working is the norm. Installed from above ground the Drainstopper™ can be installed in just a few hours and does not required any special skills for installation. Adjustable brackets and extensions permit its use in drainage systems up to 2.6m deep and up to 1.5m diameter.

A fully automated pneumatic valve ideally suited for sites where backflow is a common problem and also spillages can occur. Actuation can be by a combination of chemical / oil detection transducers and/or level transducers. The flap stopper in normal use acts like a standard non-return flap valve, however in the event of a spill the Flapstopper™ can be activated to forcibly close against a flow from the normally permitted direction to effectively block the drain and hence to create a containment vessel. Available in sizes up to 500mm diameter and custom versions available to special order.

The DrainstopperTM Divert is an Automatic Spill and Firewater diversion system (Pat Pending) that permits the instant deployment of a vacuum hose / pump into the drain to divert a spill or firewater into a holding tank.
The system can be fully automated triggered by a sensor such as PH or turbidity which causes the deployment of either a DrainstopperTM or FlapstopperTM to close of the drain. The backlog then caused is pumped to a holding tank by a vacuum hose that is deployed automatically by the actuation of the system.

Once the incident is cleared the stopper and hose can be fully retracted out of the base of the drain.

The Divert system can be invaluable on sites where the capacity of the drains is too small to contain major spills or firewater. In theory providing the pumping action can keep up with the incoming flow then the capacity of the drains becomes the drain plus the holding tank.

Unique to Environmental Innovation and what makes us market leaders in our field is our fully adjustable, counterweighted Hanger Bracket designed to support and retract inflatable bladders, suction hoses and transducers at depths ranging from 400mm to almost 3m below ground.
Hanging from a "U" notched wall the bracket the Hanger Bracket is fully retractable from above ground eliminating the need to enter the drains to either install or retrieve a containment bladder, diversion hose or transducer.
Counterweights can be added (as shown) to counter lever arm to either balance a load or to force the opposing end of the bracket hard against the roof of the drain. This makes it ideal for supporting inflatable bladders clear of the flow, yet when they inflate them move down into the centre of the flow automatically.
